WordPress powers an enormous range of websites, from small business sites to complex eCommerce stores and bespoke digital platforms. But "WordPress developer" can mean very different things. A business might need a theme developer, WooCommerce specialist, plugin developer, front-end expert or someone capable of creating completely bespoke functionality. General recruitment and freelance platforms weren't designed around those distinctions, creating an opportunity for a specialist platform dedicated specifically to the WordPress ecosystem.
We designed and developed WPHire as a highly customised WordPress platform connecting clients directly with WordPress professionals. The experience was structured around the needs of both sides of the marketplace, helping businesses find relevant expertise while giving developers an environment where their WordPress skills could take centre stage. Rather than relying on the visual conventions of traditional recruitment websites, we also developed a distinctive brand identity for WPHire, including a custom logo, bespoke iconography and animations that gave the platform its own personality. Alongside the core product, we developed authoritative editorial content around finding and hiring WordPress developers, helping WPHire establish itself not simply as a recruitment platform, but as a useful resource for businesses navigating the WordPress development market.
WPHire combined bespoke platform development with a strong visual identity and content strategy to create a specialist destination for WordPress recruitment.
